How We Can Help
Therapeutic Modalities
Therapeutic modalities are tools your physical therapist might use to help prepare you for your treatment session. Some of the most common therapeutic modalities are hot and cold packs, electrical stimulation, and devices which will apply pressure and cooling to the affected area such as Game Ready equipment. These tools help by decreasing pain and inflammation, increasing blood circulation, or decreasing muscle spasms which may be causing the pain.
Manual Therapy
Manual therapy techniques are skilled hand movements and passive movements of joints and soft tissue that are intended to improve tissue extensibility, increase range of motion, induce relaxation, mobilize or manipulate soft tissue and joints, modulate pain, and reduce soft tissue swelling, inflammation, or restriction. Techniques may include manual lymphatic drainage, manual traction, massage, mobilization/manipulation, and passive range of motion.
Specialized Exercise
Specialized exercises are Evidence-Based, Clinically Proven and widely supported specific movements that are used to help progress the treatment process, reeducate the body and build strength and endurance while increasing mobility. The actual exercises will vary from injury to injury and one patient to another with some overlap. Examples of exercises include: Range-of-Motion, Muscle-Strengthening, Coordination and Balance, Ambulation, and General Conditioning exercises.
Patient Proven Process
Evaluate
We communicate with you to learn what it is that we’re trying to remedy and conduct range of motion tests, evaluation of posture, muscle and joint movement, flexibility, motion, and performance.
Diagnose
Then we will provide a clinical diagnosis based on the testing outcomes, discuss your short and long-term objectives, and give you a prognosis.
Treat
After a regiment is created, you will receive hands-on, one-on-one and thorough Physical Therapy Treatment. The duration of the treatment will vary on the prognosis.
Educate
Throughout therapy, and before we part ways, we makes recommendations regarding the exercises you can do at home to help speed up the recovery and prevent future onset.
